What is De Minimis Aid?

Several of our projects are funded by the EU. When a company receives support within an EU-funded project — for example, in the form of free advice, training, or access to test environments — this may be regarded as state aid under EU regulations.

To ensure fair competition and to prevent any company from receiving excessive support, there is a limit of €200,000 over a three-year period. This is known as the "de minimis rule" or de minimis aid.

Why we need a certificate from you

  • To confirm that you are receiving free support with a certain economic value (as specified in the certificate).
  • To confirm that your company has not already received de minimis aid exceeding €200,000 over the past three financial years.
  • To ensure the project can document compliance with EU regulations and that public funding is provided in a transparent and balanced way.
