In the coming years, the older part of the Nordic population is expected to grow - a reality that puts demands on healthcare systems and companies to develop new solutions or update existing ones. In order to meet tomorrow's needs in healthcare, an investment in health innovation and welfare technology is required, and the CareWare Nordic 2 project is part of that investment.
During the first phase of the project, a number of meeting places were developed for municipalities, companies, and educational institutions. As well as platforms for sharing the latest knowledge and experience in the field of welfare technology. These platforms and meeting places will be used in the next phase of the project to further strengthen collaboration between companies, public organisations, academia, and civil society around the development of new shared solutions that contribute to better and more skills development, needs identification, user involvement, and implementation in welfare.
The purpose of the project is to link academia, municipalities and regions for joint development and innovation across the entire Öresund-Kattegat-Skagerrak area (ÖKS). By spreading and sharing knowledge about the best welfare technology solutions, value is created for both citizens, companies and authorities.
In the short term, the goal is to develop collaborative platforms for skills development between the public, private and educational sectors in order to strengthen long-term innovative development and successful implementation of welfare technology in regions and municipalities.
2023-2026
The entire project is financed with 3,088,106 EURO. The total budget for Leap for Life is SEK 7,144,679.
